Postdoctoral researcher / research associate 

When we have grants available for funded research project we will advertise for job opportunities on the IfM jobs website and the university’s HR portal. However, if you are interested in our research portfolio and see a good fit with your experience, expertise and interests, please feel free get in touch with Dr Frank Tietze.

 

PhD student

PhD students are typically externally funded. The University offers various funding opportunities for excellent students. We typically accept PhD students for a start in October and in January. All details and application deadlines for the PhD prgoramme in Engineering are available here

 

Industrial collaborator

If you have industrial or consultancy experience with IP and wish to work closely with an academic group, please get in touch. We are always keen to engage with industry and practitioners to learn from the community of experts, but also to see how the tools we develop can be deployed into organisations. For those engagements we work very closely with IfM ECS and its community of third party associates.

 

Visitor

Whether you are professor, postdoctoral researcher, PhD student at another university or undergraduate student who is looking for a group do to a master thesis on IP management, do get in touch with us if you find our research portfolio interesting and aligned with your interests. We are always keen to hear from likeminded colleagues who like to come and spend some time with us. Please contact Dr Frank Tietze or the lead researcher of the respective project. 

 

Placement student (UROP)

Typically during the summer break we host placement students, most frequently from the University’s Department of Engineering. We post available offerings for placements on the department’s UROP page (Undergraduate Research Opportunities Programme, but by all means feel free to get in touch if you are interested in learning more about our research and do not find a specific UROP advert.
