Executive Training
Undoubtedly, executives leading companies operating in increasingly knowledge-intensive and innovation-driven economies need to understand IP. Yet, surprisingly few business schools include IP in their executive MBA curricula. Evidence from our study published in MIT Sloan Management Review shows that insufficient IP literacy among senior leaders can lead to misguided strategic choices. Strengthening executive capabilities in IP is therefore not a niche concern, but a core requirement for effective leadership in modern innovation systems.
We have successfully delivered training courses for both executive students and corporate clients for a number of years. The focus of these trainings courses tend to be within the context of and focus on innovation processes and systems with emphasis on IP strategies, approaches and tools for developing IP strategies, strategic decisions that concern IP and the way how organisations can strategize with IP.
We regularly deliver IP related content to participants of the TIM course through IfM Engage, our not-for profit in-house consultancy. On top of that we deliver content into executive master programmes run by other universities, such as the Technology Management and Digital Transformation programme run by the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU).
A standard offering of our Strategic IP Management course is available via IfM Engage, but please get in touch if you have specific training needs. We can design tailored training offerings.
