Innovation and Intellectual Property Management (IIPM) Laboratory

This year's World IP Day is dedicated to the topic of "IP and the SDGs: Building our common future with innovation and creativity". Those that have followed our research will know that this is an important topic for our group.

We are thus delighted that two colleagues and friends, Dr Pratheeba Vimalnath (now Lecturer in Innovation, Intellectual Property and Sustainability at the University of Exeter) and Dr Nigel Clarke (a long standing collaborator, formerly with the EPO for many years) will be speaking at World IP Day events.

Pratheeba has been invited to give a talk at the Norwegian Patent Office where she will be speaking about the work we have been doing passionately about the role of IP for transitions, particularly sustainability and digital transitions. Along the same lines, Nigel will join as speaker an event organised by ASIPI and the University of New Hampshire, Franklin Pierce School of Law that addresses important issues related to IP and sustainable development goals.
