We are pleased to share that a new article by members of the Innovation and Intellectual Property Management (IIPM) Laboratory and collaborators has been published in Nature Biotechnology.
The article presents a Cambridge-based case study on the development of Cambridge Antibody Technology and related innovation activities surrounding therapeutic antibody technologies. The case study draws on interviews with key individuals involved in the company’s development, including Sir Gregory Winter, Nobel Laureate and pioneer of antibody engineering, as well as other founders and senior figures associated with the company and its commercialization journey.
The publication contributes to current discussions at the intersection of science, technology, innovation, entrepreneurship, and intellectual property, and reflects the IIPM Laboratory’s ongoing interest in how science-based innovations emerge, scale, and create societal and industrial impact.
In addition to its research contribution, the case study can also be used for teaching purposes, particularly in courses related to innovation management, technology strategy, intellectual property, entrepreneurship, and the commercialization of science-based technologies.
